Scorned nation

Posted: Sunday, March 30, 2003

Who's kidding who? Bush initiated this attack on Iraq unilaterally last year and was ready to send our men and women into harms way, right then and there, were it not for the uprising of dissent that ensued! Little were Americans assuaged when he was able to seduce the British prime minister and a host of Second World leaders, backed by a promise of financial consideration, to ally with him against the democratic integrity of the United Nations.

Such abuse of our representational democracy is the haughty, egotistical attitude that makes the U.S. not only empire seeking world domination but, the most scorned nation since Nazi Germany.

After he perpetuates packing the courts with his ultra-conservative nominations - a process perpetuated by his father but begun by his father's mentor, Ronald Reagan, and a process that facilitated his own White House abduction. We may never again see the day in which we can say, "My country tis of thee!"
