Eligible Alaskans must apply by Wednesday for the Alaska Permanent Fund dividend or miss out on the 2004 checks.
Each year hundreds of Alaskans forget to apply and lose their dividends.
Residents can apply for dividends on the Internet at www.pfd.state.ak.us, or pick up applications at the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend Division Information Office on the 11th floor of the State Office Building in Juneau, at 333 Willoughby Ave. 99801.
Applications must be postmarked by Wed., March 31, 2004.
Applications can be confirmed online approximately four to six weeks after they have been filed.
About 594,000 people received dividend checks worth $1,107 each in 2003. Those checks were down by about $443 from the 2002 dividends of about $1,540.

It is uncertain how much dividends will be this year, but according to the Alaska Permanent Fund Corp., it is projected to total $605 million.
