Sound off on the important issues at

Favorites: "I like drawing animals. My favorite books are Puppy Patrol books. My favorite song is 'Breakaway.'"

Future plans: "I want to be an artist and a zookeeper when I grow up. But I will have to move away to be a zookeeper. ... I would like to get better at art, so that I could frame some and sell some."

Activities: "I have been in swimming before. I also played soccer with my family. I went to math class. I also went to the museum art program."

Wacky art: "Exaggerating things! The art teacher who came into our classroom made a sled dog with spiked hair and buggy eyes."

You should know: "We have five pets in our house: Honey a Shitsu, a tailess lizard, a toad and two parakeets, Blueberry and Snowflake. When I wrestle with my dog, he sometimes bites me. Frank feeds her people food."

Her classroom teacher, Nina Massey, says: "Kyra is an incredibly creative and talented student. She always comes up with fantastic original ideas for class assignments. She embellishes her spelling test each week with an original icon for each word. She can draw realistically whatever she sees. She can even imagine a change in position for a person or animal and draw it correctloy from her head! Kyra is always interested in new techniques and willingly tries new methods and styles. She always comes up with an original way or working with whatever media or design technique we are trying. She keeps a sketch book in her desk, and practices drawing animals, her favorite subject, whenever she can."
