Robbery, kidnap suspect is arrested

ANCHORAGE - A man suspected of robbing several Anchorage businesses has been arrested.

Morquel Deshawn Redmond, 22, faces various charges, including robbery and kidnapping. He is being held at the Anchorage jail on $250,000 bail.

Police apprehended Redmond on Friday after an officer saw his vehicle and followed it to his home.

Redmond is accused of robbing the Regis Salon eight days ago, as well as several other businesses.
