State should treat all murders equally

Isn't it interesting to read that the Legislature is considering a bill that would allow murder and assault charges against someone who kills or injures a fetus? If someone murders a pregnant woman then double-murder charges would apply. Yet the bill specifically excludes abortion, as if those unborn babies don't qualify for the same protection.

Sound off on the important issues at

What a twisted society we live in. If I want my children and they are abused or killed, born or unborn murder charges apply against the murderer. If I don't want my children but abuse or kill them after they are born, I pay consequences by law. If I don't want my children but abuse or kill them before they're born, that's legal. It would be fair and unbiased if all murders were treated equally and charges pressed against all murderers.
