Time for Relay for Life teams to sign up

The American Cancer Society's fifth annual Relay For Life will be held July 15 and 16 at Dimond Park. Relay teams for the event can sign up from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 8 at the Nugget Mall.
Relay team captains can also attend the Team Captain University from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on April 12 at the SEARHC medical facility campus, 3245 Hospital Drive. The university teaches team captains to better delegate, motivate and communicate with their teams, as well as better recognize, provide incentive and reward team member efforts.

Fundraiser Saturday for pregnancy center
The Care Net Crisis Pregnancy Center fundraiser is 6 p.m., Saturday, at Auke Bay Bible Church. No tickets are necessary, but donations will be accepted at the door.
The fundraiser will feature a dinner of grilled seafood, steak and wild game, a silent auction and games.
Auction items are from donors such as Seventh Heaven, the Fudge Co. and Wings of Alaska. For more information, call 789-9599.
Earth Day Fair supports environmental awareness
A Juneau Earth Day Fair sponsored by Central Council of Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska and the Environmental Protection Agency will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 15 at Centennial Hall. This event is for all ages.
Booths from over 20 local, state and federal organizations, agencies and businesses will attend, in support of health and environmental awareness.

Youth Summit comes April 3 to Juneau
The Juneau Coalition for Youth 2006 Youth Summit will be from 2:15 to 5 p.m., April 3 in the Juneau-Douglas High School commons area.
This year's theme is "Helping Hands." Some of the organizations attending are Perseverance Theatre, Boys and Girls Club, Juneau Job Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters, NCADD and American Red Cross. There will be free food, prizes and entertainment.
