Bocce, a 9-month-old female Pacific walrus and former resident of Alaska waters, receives a kiss from Kitkatska, 25, Thursday at SeaWorld San Diego. Bocce was found beached in Alaska last summer and was transported to SeaWorld for care. Bocce has been cared for behind the scenes at the Wild Arctic exhibit. When she arrived at SeaWorld, Bocce weighed less than 100 pounds and was fed a simulated walrus-milk formula. Now completely weaned and weighing more than 350 pounds, Bocce consumes about 20 pounds of fish per day, including herring, capelin and clams.
