Police and Fire

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Thefts:

• Jewelry was reported stolen at 10:39 a.m. Monday from Churchill Way. The jewelry was taken sometime in November.

• A backpack containing rain gear was reported stolen at 12:59 p.m. Monday from South Franklin Street. The gear was valued at $150.

• A black Nokia cell phone was reported stolen at 4:37 p.m. Monday from Glacier Highway. The phone was stolen sometime Saturday.

Hit and run:

• The driver of a 1975 Chevrolet van fled the scene of a crash at 1:58 p.m. Monday near outbound Egan Drive and the McNugget intersection. The van struck a 2000 Ford Excursion causing $1,500 in damage to the Ford and sustaining $200 in damage. The van was impounded for evidence.
