Friends of Bill Kozlowski and his widow, Sierra Kaden, will host a benefit auction and concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 3, in the Hangar Ballroom.
Kozlowski, the co-founder of Juneau Information Service Technology, the founder of Rock Alaska Records and the frontman of local band Peabody's Monster, died Jan. 13. He was 32.
Tickets are $20 and are available from The Alaskan Hotel, friends and family of Kaden and at the door. All proceeds will go to Kaden.
The concert will include Panhandle Crabgrass Revival Band and Contra Public. Peabody's Monster will also play, with a special vocal appearance by Kozlowski's younger sister, Krista.
The silent and live auction will include Gustavus fishing and golfing packages, a kayak getaway in Glacier Bay, local art, desserts and a free tattoo from Paradise Tattoo. Rock Alaska Records will sell merchandise at a booth, and JIST - a company specializing in multi-media products for people with disabilities - will demonstrate some of its products. Voter registration will also be available.
Local musician and KBJZLP-FM radio personality Collette Costa will serve as the master of ceremonies.
The benefit is 21 and over. The ballroom bar will be open.
