Pets of the week: Sweet, pretty, playful cats, dog seek homes

Posted: Wednesday, April 02, 2008

Howie is a sweet little scaredy cat who needs his teddy bear for safety. He is a sweet 6-year-old who would love to find a family that would check for monsters under his bed each night. Howie is neutered, microchipped and waiting for you at the Gastineau Humane Society.

Pucca is a kitty who will jump up into your arms, knead your back and drool on your neck. She is a wildly affectionate 7-month-old black-and-white kitty and she is waiting for a home at the Gastineau Humane Society.

Miss Sue is a pretty black and white cat who keeps her tail bent forward like the arrow on a compass. It is almost as if it directing her as to where to go instead of the other way around. She is a charming spayed 8-year-old and she'll be quick to orient herself to your love.

Arlo is a fun young pup looking for a playful human pal. He is a 6-month-old lab mix who can't wait to get out and enjoy the longer spring days. Being a younger dog, he will need a home that is willing to continue with his obedience training, but Arlo is a quick, willing student.

You can visit these adorable animals from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Gastineau Humane Society.
