80-hour Wilderness First Responder class offered

JUNEAU - Sea Globally is hosting a Wilderness First Responder class April 26 through May 5.

The 80-hour Wilderness First Responder certification is considered the standard for professionals working as guides or outdoor educators, as well as recreational expedition medical personnel in remote areas. The Wilderness First Responder class is taught by Remote Medical International and emphasizes decision-making, hands-on skills and the theoretical knowledge necessary to function in remote areas. It also will provide a strong foundation from which students can progress on to more advanced levels of training.

Cost per person is $595 and space is limited. The course will be held at Chapel by the Lake, 11024 Auke Lake Way.
