The House of Representatives Finance Committee should schedule House Bill 106 and repeal the studded tire tax.
Studded tires save lives.
I have been a resident of the state for more than 47 years and know that this is true, as I have driven with studded tires and without and have been saved by studded tires several times. This should be a necessity for all Alaskans and an additional tax should not be imposed.
Also, legislators should please consider hearing House Bill 111, decreasing the business licenses fees from $100 to $25. This is also an important bill to support the economy of Alaska by promoting new businesses.
I am also encouraging representatives to hear House Bill 337 regarding the health care transparency act.
