Summer Russian culture festival announced

The Alaska-Siberia Research Center has announced it is organizing and coordinating a "Festival of Russian Culture 'White Nights'" this summer in Juneau, sponsored by the Russian Federation Embassy in Washington, D.C. and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The festival is scheduled to be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, in Marine Park. The event is free and open to the public.

Participants in the festival will include Fiery Gypsies, a folk music group from Juneau; New Archangel Dancers from Sitka; Russian-American Colony Singers from Anchorage; SitNiks, a Russian folk music group from Sitka; and violinist Steve Tada of Juneau.
