SITKA - Open to cancer survivors and their loved ones, a Beading for a Cause workshop will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Sitka SouthEast Regional Health Consortium Community Health Services first floor conference room.
This beading workshop is for cancer survivors and those who lost a loved one to cancer. Participants will bead a 4-by-4-inch square to be used in a larger cancer awareness quilt or tapestry to be completed this summer.
Also, there will be a discussion about digital storytelling and blogging through survivorship. This event is sponsored by the SEARHC Women's Health Programs and the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium Native People for Cancer Control.
