ANCHORAGE - An Anchorage man has been sentenced to 99 years for killing his wife.
Jimmy Korkow, 37, was convicted last December for stabbing his wife in the apartment they shared with their three children.
Prosecutors say that Korkow stabbed his wife, Teresa, on March 2nd, 2005. The woman was stabbed 62 times. The children were in the home at the time.
Judge Eric Aarseth called Korkow a "worst offender" who looked at his wife as "an object rather than a human being."
The judge restricted Korkow's parole for the first 50 years so that the children would be protected from their father.
