Kenneth Clifford Buzzell, 87, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003, in Juneau.
He was born Nov. 6, 1915, in St. Paul, Minn., to Merchant and Marjorie Buzzell. He studied forestry at the University of Minnesota but switched his career interest to aviation.
He met his wife, Midori, in Tokyo while flying for Korean National Airlines. They were married in 1953 and lived in Taiwan for two years before moving to Juneau. He was a pilot mechanic for Alaska Coastal Airlines until he retired.
Buzzell's family said he spent his free time enjoying his home and family.
He is survived by wife Midori Buzzell, daughter Bonny Millard of Juneau, son Terry (Becky) Buzzell of Anchorage, son Teil (Lori) Buzzell of Juneau, daughter Tanya Jensen of White Rock, British Columbia, and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. April 12 at Chapel by the Lake. The reception will be from 4-6 p.m. at Smith Hall.
