Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested Margaret Totland, 44, on a charge of drunken driving at 7:32 p.m. Monday in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway. They also charged her with refusing an alcohol test. Police lodged her at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle she was driving.


• A car DVD player and acoustic equipment were reported stolen from a 1995 Nissan at 4:59 p.m. Monday in the 10600 block of Porter Lane. The value of the items was estimated at $3,950.


• At 6:42 p.m. Monday, a fence was reported vandalized in the 6000 block of Lemon Street in the Lemon Creek area.

• At 7:30 p.m. Monday, the windows of a 1993 Nissan Sentra were reported broken out in the Marine Parking Garage downtown. Loss was estimated at $1,300.

Vehicle accidents:

• A 2000 Jeep, driven by a man, 24, reportedly struck a parked 2002 Chevrolet truck at 2:27 p.m. Monday on Taku Boulevard in the Mendenhall Valley. Damage to the truck was estimated at $2,500.

• Police cited a boy, 16, on a charge of failing to yield after an accident at 2:41 p.m. on Valley Boulevard. The boy was driving a Cadillac that reportedly struck a Ford driven by a woman, 47.

Hit and run:

• At 6:59 p.m. Monday, a 1995 Toyota Tercel was reported to have been hit by an unknown vehicle in the 11100 block of Glacier Highway.

Traffic stop:

• Police impounded a vehicle at 12:22 a.m. Tuesday on University Drive after citing the driver, a man, 21, on a charge of driving without a license.

Underage drinking:

• Police cited a woman, 19, at 3:37 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of underage drinking in the 300 block of Gastineau Avenue downtown.

Animal encounters:

• A bear was reported breaking into a locked trash enclosure at 12:18 a.m. Tuesday in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area.

Calls related to domestic violence: 0.
