Organization description: The Southeast Alaska Food Bank collects, stores and distributes donated food items to nonprofit member agencies serving Southeast's disadvantaged populations including the low-income, homeless, disabled or elderly.

Volunteer opportunities: Volunteers who are available to be on-call during the week are needed to assist with pick-up of food from local grocery stores and to stock food bank shelves.

• Neighbors Helping Neighbors is a weekly feature on the Neighbors page done in collaboration with the United Way of Southeast Alaska.
