Public School Volunteers Week. Thank you to everyone who helps out in our schools.

All elementary schools

Wednesday: Kindergarten Open House and registration 1:30-3 p.m. Bring your child's birth certificate and immunization records to the school your child will be attending in the fall to register and visit classrooms. Kindergarten classes will be released early to permit incoming families to visit the rooms.

All Middle Schools

Monday-Wednesday: 7th & 8th grade math assessment.

Auke Bay Elementary 463-1775

Tuesday: 5th graders visit Floyd Dryden (Dryden-bound students only).

Wednesday: Kindergartners out at noon. Mrs. Platt's 3rd grade is selling cupcakes.

Dzantik'l Heeni Middle 463-1899

Monday: 7 p.m. Band concert.

Monday-Wednesday: 7th & 8th grade math assessment.

Floyd Dryden Middle 463-1850

Monday: Parents of 5th graders walk-through in the afternoon. 6 p.m. Site Council. 7 p.m. parent group meetings in the library.

Tuesday: 7:15 a.m. Student Council meeting.

Monday & Tuesday: 5th graders visit the school.

Monday-Wednesday: 7th & 8th grade math assessment.

Wednesday: Kindergartners out at noon.

Thursday & Friday: All classrooms open for parents to visit.

Tuesday: PINK SLIPS for Close-Up, Student Council, SSRM, softball, track and field, world language, boys and girl's soccer travel from April 12 thru May 2.

Thursday: Parent Group meeting

Thursday-Saturday: Student government meeting in Barrow.

Friday and Saturday: Calculus Camp; track and field, softball at Sitka; world language at Anchorage.

Scholarship applications available: Will to Win Asthma Athlete Scholarship, Christian Science Monitor/National Foundation for Women Legislators Scholarship.

Tuesday: 5th graders to Floyd Dryden.
