Ruddat, Crites to marry April 1, 2001
Rachel M. Ruddat and Sean B. Crites, both of Juneau, will be married in a ceremony planned for April 1, 2001, at St. Marcus Evangelical Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Wis.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Donna Ruddat and the late Rev. Arnold E. Ruddat.
The groom-elect is the son of Mary Louise Barry.
The maid of honor will be Michelle Crites, with bridesmaid Carolann Ruddat. The flower girl will be Rebekah Ruddat.
The best man will be Derek Reed, with groomsman David Ruddat. The ring bearer will be Daniel Ruddat.
The couple will honeymoon along the Al-Can Highway and make their home in Juneau.
Mielke, Soto to marry April 8
Karen Michelle Mielke of Juneau and Kurt Michael Soto of San Mateo, Calif., will be married in a ceremony at 4 p.m. April 8 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in San Jose, Calif.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Karl and Sandra Mielke of Juneau. She is a graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School and San Jose State University, and is an art director for Marcom and More.
The groom-elect is the son of Isabel and Oswaldo Soto. He is a graduate of Hillsdale High School and San Jose State University, and is a sales manager for Philip Services.
The couple will make their home in San Jose.
Peterson, Darrington to marry May 20
Gretchen Julie Peterson and Robert E. Darrington Jr., both of Juneau, will be married in a ceremony May 20 at the Coeurd'Alane Resort on the Lake in Coeurd'Alane, Idaho.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Janice A. Peterson and the late Henry L. Peterson of Townsend, Mont. She is a 1988 graduate of Hayward High School in Hayward, Calif., and California State University in Hayward.
The groom-elect is the son of Robert Darrington, and Bev and John DeMoura of Moscow, Idaho. He is a 1990 graduate of Pasco High School in Pasco, Wash., and is a power plant mechanic with AEL&P.
The maid of honor will be Shelley Nugent, with bridesmaids Renee Rupprecht and Marcie DeMoura. The best man will be Richard Darrington, with groomsmen Steve Danz and Chris Danz.
The couple will honeymoon in Tahiti and make their home in Juneau.
Cook, Marx married Feb. 27
Marie Cook and Hans Marx, both of Juneau, were married in a ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 27 in Maui, Hawaii.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Richard and Ellen Cook. She is a 1993 graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School and of Boston College and is a legislative aide for the Alaska Legislature.
The groom is the son of Dr. Elmer and Brenda Marx. He is a 1991 graduate of JDHS and of the University of Alaska Southeast and is a sheet metal worker for Behrends Mechanical.
The couple will make their home in Juneau.
