Glad to be employed in the private sector

I retired from state service in 1997. I was offered an opportunity to return, but I got to tell you, I wouldn't go back to work for the state for anything. I make more money, get less hassles, and am no longer treated like a second-class citizen. If the Legislature wants to shut down the retirement program, fine. Let them go out there and recruit the talent, work ethic and dedication required of a state employee. As for me, I'm out of there.
