Property taxes pay for school boondoggle

Did your property tax hike go through the roof? Many did! Does it seem unfair and unjust? Well, how did you think the city was going to pay for most of the stupid stuff it spends money on? If you voted "yes" for the new high school, then you have no right to complain. The money never was there for this boondoggle waste of money, and now the city is hiking tax assessments to come up with the shortfall. The new high school has been basically "gutted" because of lack of funds that the teaching staff, schools and the maintenance department will have to cover.

I have one question for our city leaders that pushed so hard for the new high school: Which one of you has a "brother-in-law" who builds high schools? How much money did you get to pocket for ramming this pork down the throats of Juneau taxpayers?
