FAIRBANKS - The public can scratch its science itch this week when the University of Alaska Fairbanks hosts two days of free events.
Campus Research Day takes place Friday.
The event includes presentations, lectures and lab tours. Labs throughout the campus will be open to visitors between noon and 3 p.m., with balloons marking the buildings that have open labs.
On Saturday, the annual Science Potpourri is taking place between noon and 3 p.m. at the Reichardt Building.
The event features various activities, including opportunities to examine fossils, learn about brains, watch robots in action and make slime.
