JUNEAU - Juneau School District officials reported its best turnout for the superintendent search forum it held March 31, the fourth of four it held last month to solicit community input in the process.
District spokeswoman Kristin Bartlett said at least 11 people attended based on a sign in sheet, but added that there were additional attendees who did not sign in.
The previous forums were all single-digit affairs.
The School Board is scheduled to meet Saturday morning in closed session to pick semi-finalists for the district's top administrator. Current Superintendent Peggy Cowan is stepping down when her contract expires June 30.
