ANCHORAGE - A 19-year-old man is accused of breaking into an Anchorage high school and then trying to pass himself off as an FBI agent when police arrived.
Aron Reed of Anchorage was arrested on burglary and criminal mischief charges in the break-in at Dimond High School early Wednesday morning.
Police say Reed told responding officers he was "one of you guys" and claimed he was an FBI agent who had chased a burglar into the building.
Officers found eight laptop computers stacked up outside a door. They also found that offices, vending machines and doors had been vandalized and two fire extinguishers discharged.
Police are investigating whether there's any connection between the break-in and a burglary at a nearby elementary school hours earlier.
