JUNEAU - Juneau girls indoor soccer teams won two of the three divisions of last weekend's Whitehorse Exchange tourney in Juneau.
In the U13 division, the Juneau A team claimed first place and Juneau B finished second. Juneau C placed third and Juneau D wound up fourth.
The Juneau Xtratuffs #1 squad won top honors in the U14 bracket, followed by Juneau Xtratuffs #2, Whitehorse Icebreakers #1, Ketchikan and Whitehorse Icebreakers #2.
Whitehorse's Northern Flames #1 squad won the U17 division, while Juneau Black took second place. Northern Flames #2 of Whitehorse finished third, Juneau Titans #2 claimed fourth, Juneau White finished fifth and Juneau Titans #1 took sixth place.
In Whitehorse last weekend, seven boys teams from Juneau competed against eight Yukon squads. The U14 Riptide Red team was the sole Juneau squad to finish in first place, winning 5-4 in sudden death overtime over the Whitehorse Wild Things.
Juneau's Riptide White finished third in the U14 division.
In the U15 division, the Juneau Jaguars finished in second place behind the Whitehorse Falcons Blue. The Juneau Jaguars II wound up fourth.
In the U16 bracket, the Juneau Orcas finished third behind the Whitehorse Templars I and II.
In U13 play, Reign II finished third and Reign I placed fourth. Whitehorse Badgers II and I finished in first and second place, respectively. e
