But when Barnhardt can't bring the culprit to justice, a surly police detective, is recruited to close the case.

"I Love You Man" (R) - Daily, 7:30 p.m.; Friday-Saturday, 10 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday, 2:10, 4:40 p.m. Synopsis: Friendless Peter Klaven (Paul Rudd) goes on a series of man-dates to find a Best Man for his wedding. But when his new B.F.F. (Segel) puts a strain on his relationship with his fiancé (Rashida Jones), can the trio learn to live happily ever after?

"Knowing" (PG-13) - Daily, 7:10 p.m.; Friday-Saturday, 9:40 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday, 1:30, 4:20 p.m. Synopsis: A teacher (Nicolas Cage) opens a time capsule that has been dug up at his son's elementary school. In it are some chilling predictions - some that have already occurred and others that are about to - that lead him to believe his family plays a role in the events that are about to unfold.

"Monsters vs. Aliens" (PG) - Daily, 7:20 p.m.; Friday-Saturday, 9:30 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday, 2, 4:30 p.m. Synopsis: When a meteorite from outer space hits a young girl (Reese Witherspoon) and turns her into a giant monster, she is taken to a secret government compound where she meets a ragtag group of monsters also rounded up over the years.

"Fados" (NR) - Friday-Saturday, 7 and 9 p.m.; Sunday, 4 and 7 p.m., at 171 Shattuck Way. $9 adults, $7 students and seniors, $5 children under 12. Synopsis: A Portuguese musical mode borne out of early 19th-century Lisbon, and characterized by long, ornate, emotionally heavy ballads lamenting lost loves and shattered dreams, the fado - an ancient Portuguese form of music - began to experience a stunning and unpredicted resurgence in the early 21st century. Carlos Saura's 2007 documentary Fados captures the musical genre at this point, as it begins to reattain popularity.
