Juneau police and fire officials and state police reported:

Assault:

• At about 4 p.m. on Wednesday, a 21-year-old man was arrested for assault and shoplifting in the 8100 block of Glacier Hwy. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• At about 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a 58-year-old man reported being assaulted by a man in the 100 block of Franklin St.

Theft:

• At about 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday, a 29-year-old woman reported medication stolen from a 76-year-old woman in the 800 block of Twelfth St.

• At about 8:10 a.m. on Thursday, a 29-year-old woman reported that liquor valued at $12.99 was stolen from a business in the 400 block of Willoughby Ave.

• At about 11 a.m. on Thursday, a 57-year-old man reported his laptop computer valued at $950 was stolen from his vehicle in the Juneau area.

Underage smoking:

• At about 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a 15-year-old boy was cited for illegal tobacco use in the 1600 block of Glacier Hwy.

Vehicle accident:

• At about 5:25 p.m. on Wednesday, a 51-year-old woman was cited for failure to maintain a safe distance after the Ford she was driving struck a Pontiac driven by a 55-year-old woman, which struck a Jeep driven by a 40-year-old woman on Riverside Dr.

• At about 9:55 p.m. on Wednesday, a 2005 Toyota driven by a 52-year-old man and a 2007 Dodge driven by a 20-year-old man were in a vehicle accident in the 600 block of Willoughby Ave.
