Southeast Roadrunners -- Glacier 10K Run: Meet at 9:30 a.m. at Mendenhall Glacier parking lot, race starts 10 a.m. Courses are one mile and 10 kilometers. The 10K race is certified, flat and fast. Juneau Alpine Club -- Benjamin Island Sea Lion Visit: This is a one-mile, three- or four-hour, low-energy output trip. Use your own kayak or boat, or arrange for a boat ride with the Turleys. Juneau Parks and Recreation summer fields registration -- On Monday, April 9, the Juneau Department of Parks and Recreation will begin accepting reservations for the sportsfields at Dimond Park and Savikko Park for the period starting Friday, April 13, and continuing through the summer. The cost of the fields is $15 per hour and the price goes down for increased hours of usage. Juneau Parks and Recreation springboard diving clinic -- This course teaches competitive springboard diving skills and concentrates on front and back approaches. Juneau-Douglas High School dance-drill team clinic -- This is the annual clinic for girls in grades kindergarten on up, and boys sixth grade and older. Cost is $30. Meet from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at the Juneau-Douglas High School main gym for second graders and older. Gastineau Channel Little League baseball/softball clinic -- Al Herback will present this clinic, designed for all managers and coaches of GCLL teams. It is the first time this clinic has been available in Southeast Alaska, and all GCLL coaches and managers (tee-ball through majors, baseball and softball) are expected to attend. The clinic takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at the Floyd Dryden Middle School gym. Previously scheduled practices for April 14 will not take place for these age groups. Gastineau Channel Little League -- Registration is still being accepted for tee-ball and farm league players, ages 6-9.
