JUNEAU - The Juneau Arts and Humanities Council is proud to announce that the Rasmuson Foundation awarded it a Tier 1 grant in the amount of $25,000 to purchase chairs and portable pipe and drape curtain systems for the Juneau Arts & Culture Center.

"This will be a significant improvement to this community facility and will make it possible to better meet the needs of the users of the facility," said Kari Groven, program coordinator for JAHC.

Now at its 6-month anniversary of occupying the Juneau Arts & Culture Center, Groven said the center is buzzing with events and activities of all kinds: concerts, theater performances, conventions, meetings, rehearsals, workshops, exhibits, set constructions and more.

Those interested in renting the center can visit or call 586-2787.
