AWARE holds 40-hour advocacy training

JUNEAU - Community members, potential volunteers or those who serve in agencies, schools and businesses are invited to attend Aiding Women in Abuse and Rape Emergencies' bi-annual, 40-hour advocacy training starting Monday, April 12.

Level I will cover "Dynamics of Domestic Violence," and "Sexual Abuse and Child Abuse." Level II will include "How to Advocate," "Chris Intervention," "Legal Action," "Developing Safety Plans" and more. Level II requires Level I prerequisite and an interview process.
