4-H Running Club starting up spring running schedule

JUNEAU - The 4-H Running Club is starting up its spring running schedule again. The group will meet on Thursdays at various trailheads at 5:45 p.m. Dates and locations are as follows:

April 15 - Twin Lakes covered area (register for 4-H if you haven't done so)

April 22 - Mendenhall Wetlands Trail by the airport

April 29 - Auke Village Recreation Area, large shelter

May 6 - Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School (three to four loops should do it)

May 13 - Dimond Park Field House (Brotherhood Bridge Trails)

May 20 - Powerline Trail (starts at a large pull-out off Mendenhall Loop Road, just past Garnet)

May 27 - Cope Park (run toward Perseverance trail)

June 3 - Skater's Cabin (run up West Glacier Trail and back)

June 10 - Adair Kennedy Track (we can see how fast we can run a mile)

June 17 - Sandy Beach to the Zipline (fun and really pretty), and end-of-year potluck
