On behalf of Mayor Botelho and our committee, which volunteered to organize dinners for legislators in Juneau homes, we wish to express our appreciation to all those who agreed to serve as capital city hosts. These dinners not only afforded legislators a relaxing evening with new friends but gave both hosts and guests an opportunity to learn more about new areas of our great state. Unfortunately, the press of legislative business kept some of the hosts from connecting successfully with their potential guests. We are already looking forward to next year's legislative session and to successfully pairing legislators and hosts earlier in the session.
Many thanks to the following: Bob Bartholomew and Kay Kanne, Sharon and Mike Barton, Sue Baxter and Dave Sturdevant, Dick and Candy Behrends, Odin Brudie and Frankie Pillifant, Kim and Keith Busch, Phyllis Carlson and Jan van Dort, Bud and Annie Carpeneti, Karen Crane and Dan Fruits, Laraine and Romer Derr, Karen and Paul Dillon, Bob and Nancy Fletcher, Kurt Fredriksson and Mary Siroky, John Greely and Marla Berg, Anne and Win Gruening, Clark and Rosemary Gruening, Dave Haas and Mary Ellen Arvold, Rosemary Hagevig, Brian and Estela Holst, Sarah Isto and Gordon Harrison, Bruce Kato and Patty Owen, Gladi Kulp and Jon Pond, Marshall and Lois Lind, Scott Miller and Ann Boochever, Bob Minch and Mary Borthwick, Laurie and Joe Perkins, Margaret and John Pugh, Claire Richardson and Lisle Hebert, Sally and Frank Rue, Kay and Jev Shelton, Bridget Smith and Jim Asper, Chrystal and George Smith, Kim and Ethel Smith, Jane and Dick Stokes, Ed and Cathy Thomas, Paul Voelckers and Mary Pat Wyatt, Peggy and Alex Wertheimer, and John and Sheri Williams.
