Juneau resident Louell J. Riddle died April 8, 2005, in her home.
She was born Nov. 15, 1915, in Farmer, Wash. During WWII, she arrived in Juneau and worked on the airport in Gustavus. She returned to Washington to work in the apple business. On Jan. 19, 1951, she married William Riddle and moved back to Juneau.
She worked at First National Bank. She was a member of the Hospital Guild and a 54-year member of Women of the Moose. She participated in various clubs and organizations in Juneau.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Riddle.
She is survived by her sons, Lamar Riddle and Gary Riddle; granddaughter, Machelle Bennett and her husband, Walter; grandson, Courtney Lewis Riddle; great-grandsons, Dylan Bennett and Tristan Bennett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1:30 p.m., April 15, at Moose Lodge. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Hospice of Juneau.
