SAGA to hold Global Youth Service Day celebration April 22

Posted: Sunday, April 12, 2009

JUNEAU - Everyone is welcome to the Southeast Alaska Guidance Association's annual Global Youth Service Day celebration on April 22, during which young people around the world volunteer to make improvements in their communities.

Kids around Juneau will gather to conduct various community projects around town and will serve at many local nonprofit organizations such as the Glory Hole, the Gastineau Humane Society, Wildflower Court and the Boys and Girls Club.

The day will include breakfast, community service, lunch and hopefully lots of fun. SAGA is still looking for food donations. Any help is greatly appreciated.
