The Southeast Alaska Guidance Association's Eagle Valley Center would like to thank the following groups and individuals for their generous help and volunteerism at the Winter Jamboree on March 21.
Thank you to Mike and Crandall from the Zach Gordon Youth Center, for running the shuttle and ski trail; Malia and Jodi from Taproot's Karma Krew, for helping run the event; Ezra and the kids from Juneau Youth Services, for building the snow slide and benches; Don Abel, for donating the bonfire wood; Peter Cross from the Forest Service; for donating wood; Amy Nye from Discovery Southeast, for leading the snowshoe naturalist walks; Duncan from R&S Pumping, for providing portable toilets; Susie Denton at Glacier Valley Elementary, for loaning us your snowshoes; and SAGA's Connections Americorps volunteers and SAGA's Corps program, for building the snowcastle and snow sculptures.
Thank you all very much. We could not have done it without you, and I am sure the kids will remember the nature hike, the games like snow bowling and the snow castle, complete with snow slide and dungeon, for a long time. If you didn't make it to the Winter Jamboree, we hope to see you next year.
