North Pole police search for woman

FAIRBANKS - Police in North Pole are searching for a woman who held bank employees at gunpoint.

The woman, however, did not demand any money.

The incident occurred at about 11:15 a.m. Thursday at the North Pole branch of Key Bank.

The woman brandished a silver revolver and ordered the two employees to the floor at gunpoint.

North Pole police Chief Paul Lindhag said it did not appear that the woman was trying to rob the bank. By the time police had arrived, she had fled.
