Organization description: Wildflower Court is a not-for-profit skilled nursing facility that provides short-term care for rehabilitation and complex medical needs between a hospital stay and home, and long term care with 24-hour skilled nursing care. The mission of Wildflower Court is to provide leadership in care by encouraging continued growth of the human spirit within an ever-changing community.

Volunteer opportunities: Wildflower Court is seeking a companion for a resident who needs more one-on-one companionship time than staff is available to provide. This resident has severe MS and has very limited mobility and communication abilities; however her mind is completely intact. A volunteer is also needed to organize Christmas and other holiday decorations so that they can be properly stored.

• Neighbors Helping Neighbors is a weekly feature on the Neighbors page and is in collaboration with the United Way of Southeast Alaska. More volunteer opportunities can be found online at the Volunteer Center of Southeast Alaska,
