Prosecutors want Avery to get 10 years

ANCHORAGE - Federal prosecutors have recommended a 10-year prison sentence for the former head of Security Aviation.

Mark Avery's plea were to 15 felony charges that he participated in a scheme to swindle an elderly widow and her trust fund out of more than $52 million.

Avery admitted to using the money to finance the purchase of fighter jet aircraft, weapons, and other equipment, and also to finance a lavish lifestyle.

Avery is scheduled for sentencing April 17.
