Ketchikan Borough offices could move

KETCHIKAN - The Ketchikan Gateway Borough offices could relocate to a former elementary school.

Borough Manager Dan Bockhorst is recommending that option over several others to be considered later this month by the assembly.

He said it would cost the borough nearly a half million dollars per year to lease more than 16,000 feet at the renovated White Cliff school.

The borough is looking for new office space because of structural, mechanical and health issues associated with its current location in the Reid Building.
