Juneau resident Cathy Camille Pelletier died April 7, 2010, in Juneau. She was 51.
Born April 26, 1958, in Bangor, Maine, she was a Juneau resident for more than 15 years. She graduated from Midway High School in 1976 and attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
Her family said she cherished her pets and provided a loving home for many of them over the years. She treasured Juneau and spent many miles on foot appreciating the beauty of the land. Lemon Glacier had a special place in her heart, and she would proudly show it off to her family in photos. She was also a talented poet and writer.
She had a passion for many charities including those involved with cancer, child abuse and animal abuse. She was a big supporter of the troops that are fighting for our country.
"She was a kind and loving soul," her family wrote.
She is survived by her parents, Raoul and Kathleen Pelletier; sisters, Janet and Diane Pelletier; and brother, Mark (Sandy) Pelletier.
A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 15, at Christ Lutheran Church, 10300 Glacier Highway.
