KENAI - A Homer man has acknowledged being involved when weapons were stolen from a police officer's car.

Twenty-year-old Taw Farrow pleaded guilty in Superior Court to a misdemeanor of attempted tampering with physical evidence. Farrow will serve 40 days in jail.

Homer police say another person, 19-year-old Anastasia Leach, pleaded guilty in March. Leach was arrested for stealing a bag from Homer police officer Stacy Luck's car in December. The bag held two Glock .40-caliber handguns and other equipment. Another man has been charged with tampering with evidence in the case.

Police believe Leach was going through vehicles looking for money and items to sell after her vehicle ran low on gas.
