Theft:
Sound off on the important issues at
At 7:16 a.m. Thursday, a 38-year-old man reported the theft of a wallet containing $60 and various cards in the 6500 block of Glacier Avenue.
At 10:18 a.m. Thursday, bottle of vodka was reported stolen in the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive.
At 7:12 a.m. Friday, a 42-year-old man reported that a nail gun was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 1400 block of Glacier Highway.
At 9:09 a.m. Friday, a 33-year-old woman reported that a gym bag containing school books was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 8400 block of Thunder Mountain Road.
At 9:16 a.m. Friday, a 21-year-old woman reported that a compact disc was taken from her car in the 8400 block of Thunder Mountain Road.
At 3:53 p.m. Friday, a 42-year-old man reported that a hitch jack was stolen off his boat trailer within the last week at Aurora Harbor.
At 3:55 p.m. Friday, a 31-year-old man reported that someone stole 20 compact discs and a cell phone from his unlocked truck in the 4000 block of Delta Drive.
Burglary:
At 3:45 a.m. Friday, police received a report that one laptop, two medical books, a backpack, wallet, and paperwork were stolen in the 8400 block of Thunder Mountain Road.
At 2:34 p.m. Friday, David Edward Helt, 43, was arrested on charges of burglary and theft in the 1700 block of Glacier Avenue. Helt was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Assault:
At 2:48 p.m. Thursday, an assault was reported on the Douglas Highway.
Domestic violence:
At 4:43 p.m. Friday, a 22-year-old man was arrested on charges of domestic violence assault in the 4000 block of Delta Drive. He was lodged at the state prison.
At 9:53 p.m. Friday, a 34-year-old woman was arrested on a charge of domestic violence assault in the 9300 block of Glacier Highway. She was lodged at the state prison.
At 4:41 a.m. Saturday, a 20-year-old man was arrested on a charge of domestic violence assault and lodged at the state prison.
Driving while intoxicated:
At 2:28 a.m. Saturday, Corry Harris was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated on Mendenhall Loop Road. Harris was lodged at the state prison. His age was unavailable.
At 3:17 a.m. Saturday, Yom Romy Lim Yadao Jr., 34, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated on Glacier Highway. Yadao was lodged at the state prison.
Accidents:
At 11:32 a.m. Thursday, a 35-year-old man driving a Chevy struck a parked Toyota in the 100 block of Seward Avenue.
At 2:45 p.m. Thursday, the 20-year-old driver of a 1994 Ford van backed into another 1994 Ford van, causing $1000 to his vehicle in the 3200 block of Tongass Boulevard.
At 4:31 p.m. Thursday, a 24-year-old woman reported that her Mazda was struck by a truck on Amalga Street.
At 9:35 a.m. Friday, a 21-year-old man driving a Chevy truck struck a parked Pontiac. The driver was cited for negligent driving on Livingston Way.
Hit and run:
At 10:18 a.m. Friday, a 30-year-old woman reported that her Jeep was struck sometime in the last week on Egan Drive.
Vandalism:
At 1:55 a.m. Friday, a 27-year-old woman reported that someone rifled through her jeep in the 3600 block of Amalga Street.
At 11:53 p.m. Friday, a 54-year-old man reported that the windshield of his 2006 Ford van was damaged in the 9000 block of Cinema Drive.
