Edith Zink

Former Juneau resident Edith Zink died March 31, 2007, with her family members at her bedside following a brief illness. She was 91.

She was born Oct. 28, 1915, to Albert and Mary Bluff.

During her years spent in Juneau, she taught many knitting and crocheting lessons from her yarn shop, Edith's Needle Nest.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester Zink; and grandson, Steven Zink.

She is survived by her son, Don Zink and his wife, Shirley, of Yorba Linda, Calif.; son, David Zink, of Long Beach, Calif.; daughter, Venus Zink, of Juneau; granddaughter, Tami Duncan and her husband, Troy, of Corona, Calif..; and great-grandchildren, Jenna Rose and Michael Duncan.

A celebration of her life was held April 4 in Fullerton, Calif.
