Juneau resident Selene Marhya Wolthausen died March 26, 2007, in Juneau. She was 27.

Born Jan. 18, 1980, in San Jose, Calif., she lived in Juneau for 13 years.
"Selene swept through our lives on the wild wind she was named for," said her mother. "She was a bright, beautiful spirit who loved her family and friends, nature and all things of the ocean. Every day was a new beginning for her and her capacity for love and forgiveness was endless."
She is survived by her children, James Casto, 10, Lorin Cordi, 4, and Lillee Cordi, 11 months; mother and father, Michael and Angela Hull; brothers, Jayson and Jesse Hull and their families; grandmothers, Judith Jeffs and Dena King; uncles, Brandon Burke and Martin Hull; and families by marriage, Joel and Diane Casto, Randy and Jeanne Alford, and Francesca Cordi.
Her life will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, at the Shrine of St. Therese Chapel.
The family asks that if you are struggling with alcohol or substance abuse and are unable to be sober, do not attend these services.
"Remember her in your own fashion and honor her memory by seeking the help she could not," her mother said. "No matter what, your family loves you and wants you to be healed."
