JUNEAU - Juneau police arrested a Washington woman Wednesday after she allegedly attempted to pass eight counterfeit $100 bills at a big-box retailer.

Patricia L. Comer, 63, was arrested at Wal-Mart. During questioning, police found she was carrying prescription medication not prescribed to her. She said she was in town selling oxycodone pills, police said.

Comer was charged with misconduct involving a controlled substance and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. She was held without bail.

An investigation continues into the suspect money.
