Posted: Thursday, April 15, 2010

ANCHORAGE - The University of Alaska Board of Regents will be visiting the Bristol Bay campus this week.

The last time the regents traveled to Dillingham was more than 10 years ago. Bristol Bay campus director Debbie McLean says the campus is excited to update the regents about new programs, including a health program being planned in collaboration with the University of Alaska Anchorage.

The meeting is planned for Thursday and Friday. The agenda includes approval of a $7.5 million federal grant to the Center for Alaska Native Health Research to study nutrition.
