As we approach another summer in our beautiful city of Juneau, I'd like to remind our dog owners to please pick up after their canine friends. Don't do it simply because it's the law, clean up after your dog to be considerate of others and to help stop spreading disease to other animals and humans. One of the great pleasures of living in Juneau is that we can depend on each other and ourselves. Nobody needs to be stepping, kneeling, or rolling in the fecal matter of someone's dog. Yes, rolling in. Do you see children rolling in the grass at Twin Lakes? Also, be aware that dogs are not allowed in the Salmon Creek and Gold Creek watershed areas. For more information, please call us any time at 789-6997. We're here to help.
