Valley school extends call for artists

The City and Borough of Juneau and the Juneau School District have announced a "call for artists" to solicit proposals for the design, production and installation of artwork for the renovation of Glacier Valley Elementary School.

Proposals integrating an "artist in residence" with the school's educational program and participation of the student body are strongly encouraged.

A non-mandatory pre-submittal meeting will be held at the Glacier Valley school library at 3 p.m. April 22. Those interested in submitting proposals are encouraged to attend. Conference call capability will be available for the meeting - contact Netti Pahl at 586-0892 by 4:30 p.m. April 21 if interested in this option.

The deadline for submittals is 2 p.m. May 6. Proposal documents must be delivered in person or by courier service to the following address: Attention: Netti Pahl, CBJ Engineering Department, 230 S. Franklin St., #300, Juneau, AK, 99801.

Documents delivered by the U.S. Postal Service will not be accepted.
