Sitka residents Margaret Ann Parsons and Stephen Farrington Snapp will be wed at 10:30 a.m., April 21, 2002, at St. Peters-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Sitka.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Frank and Ann Parsons of Juneau. She graduated in 1976 from Fairhaven College, Western Washington University, with a bachelor of education degree. She taught in international schools in Japan for many years before returning to the United States and she currently works for the state of Alaska.
The groom-elect is the son of Leslie and Joanne Snapp of Bellevue, Wash. He graduated in 1976 from Huxley College of Environmental Studies, Western Washington University, with a Bachelor of Science degree. Afterward, he worked for the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration before turning to a career in commercial fishing in the central and eastern Pacific and Alaska. He now fishes commercially and operates Snapp Shipwright Services in Sitka.
The couple met in January of 2000 in the same building where they will be wed. They will continue to make their home in Sitka and can be reached at P.O. Box 6165, Sitka, AK 99835.
